It was created with the aim of launching a network of thermal hotels in emblematic places in Castilla y León and Cantabria with a differentiating element, unprecedented in the history of the national hotel industry, the combination of historic buildings and thermal waters.

The particular properties of the waters of each establishment, together with a unique architecture and the culture, history and charm of these places, make them a unique and healthy offer to enjoy a time of rest and wellbeing.

All of them with a complementary offer that ranges from the celebration of banquets, ceremonies, meals and company events to the planning of personalised thermal programmes of several days with the advice and monitoring of specialists in aesthetics and thermal medicine.

Its facilities perfectly combine tradition with modernity. Without forgetting the historic buildings on which the hotels are built, all the rooms have been equipped with the most advanced technology and comforts, making them ideal spaces for relaxation or for your business meetings.

The location of the hotels offers the possibility of carrying out different activities outside the facilities: cultural, sporting, leisure... which allow visitors to discover Castilla y León.

The Castilla Termal Hoteles group began its journey in 2004 with the refurbishment of the 12th century Mudejar Convent of Sancti Spíritus, one of the seven convents in the Valladolid municipality of Olmedo, to convert it into Castilla Termal Balneario de Olmedo, the first four-star spa in Castilla y León, whose privileged location makes it the closest spa hotel to the capital of Spain and which achieves the official title of "Villa Mudéjar de Olmedo de "Villa Termal".

With more than one objective accomplished in 2010, the Castilla Termal Hoteles group inaugurated the Castilla Termal Burgo de Osma, located in the Renaissance University of Santa Catalina in the Soria town of El Burgo de Osma.

In the summer of 2012, as part of its proposal for growth, it began to manage one of the spas with the longest history in Spain, the Castilla Termal Balneario Solares, located in the town of Solares in Cantabria.

And it doesn't end there... in 2015 Castilla Termal opened its doors in the best preserved Cistercian monastery in Europe, Santa María de Valbuena, which dates back to the 12th century and is located in the town of San Bernardo in Valladolid. Under its walls, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero's Golden Mile, we can enjoy Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena, the first five-star spa hotel in Castilla y León.

These are only the first links of a hotel chain that continues with great projects of expansion of its philosophy: to create the perfect combination between history and thermal tourism.
