Just a few kilometers from Brihuega lies Hita and Torija, towns with a rich medieval history that has left its mark on their cultural heritage.

Discover the spectacular 12th-century medieval fortress in Torija and visit the valley to admire one of the natural passes from the Castilian plateau towards Aragón.

Be amazed by the impressive cave houses of Hita and explore the Jewish wineries, about a hundred caves that were used from the Middle Ages until the 20th century to store wine.

Stroll through the town’s streets and discover its walls and main square, which served as a market in the Middle Ages. Gothic art can be seen in its purest form in the Santa María gate, and combined with Mudéjar style in the ruins of the churches of San Pedro and San Juan.
