Where is it?
The main entrance is on the autonomic road CA-412, near the town of Heras, located between Solares and El Astillero. However, you can also get here through La Concha de Villaescusa and Socabarga.

Why is Peña Cabarga interesting?
The Peña Cabarga is a massif that represents part of the nature and landscape of Cantabria. It is located in the Sierra de la Gándara to the south of the Bay of Santander sharing 2,588 hectares of its beauty with municipalities like Solares, Liérganes, Penagos and Villaescusa.
It has an excellent viewpoint located at 569 meters high in the Llen Peak. The natural park includes the karst of Cabárceno, geological formation with spectacular morphology and reddish color, result of the dissolution of calcareous rocks, and declared Geological Point of Interest. This beautiful mount presides the bay of Santander from where you can see the steep landscape that decorates and characterizes our Cantabrian land from the interior to the coast.
