The museum is divided into 4 floors and a total of 14 departments where you can learn through the marine flora and fauna. After approaching the environment of the first permanent laboratory dedicated to the study of the sea, it explains and describes the diversity of environments and marine species of the Bay of Biscay. In the four sections in which the museum is organized we can visit:- "Life at sea" (Nature-Marine Biology).
- "Fishermen and fisheries" (Fishing ethnography).
- "The Bay of Biscay and the sea in history" (Maritime history).
