Thanks to the support of the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, Castilla Termal Olmedo has installed an energy production system based on photovoltaic panels. This system will allow us to reduce electricity consumption by 24% through self-consumption, thus promoting sustainability and lowering energy costs.
Optimal Combustion
This type of combustion is achieved through the control of combustion using a Lambda probe. This probe continuously monitors the values of the exhaust gases and adjusts the amount of fuel required, as well as the amount of secondary air, ensuring optimal combustion values.
The installation will feature 270 GCL-M10/72H-550 550W photovoltaic panels, two HUAWEI SUN2000-60KTL 60kW inverters, the necessary equipment to monitor the photovoltaic plant, mounting structures, DC, AC, and grounding cables, RESP interconnection protection, protection equipment, engineering and training services, monitoring of the grid connection and installation, as well as supervision of the connection and network installation.
Photovoltaic panels convert sunlight into electricity. They are made from materials that react to light. When the sun shines on them, small particles are created that move and generate electricity. This energy can be used immediately to power lights or appliances, or stored in batteries for later use. Thus, photovoltaic panels are a clean and natural way to harness energy.
Photovoltaic panels are an excellent way to reduce the carbon footprint by converting sunlight into clean, renewable electricity. By using solar energy, we decrease dependence on fossil fuels, which are responsible for high greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, by generating energy at the point of consumption, we reduce the losses associated with electricity transport. In this way, photovoltaic panels not only contribute to a more sustainable future but also help mitigate climate change.
